I am an experienced attorney, but I began my work as a consumer lawyer almost by accident — by helping a client in a personal injury matter. My personal injury client visited an auto dealer who tried to deceive him into the purchase of a vehicle that he never looked at, sat in or drove. He signed a contract that was part of a fraudulent scheme run by the dealership. When I heard about what had happened, I knew that I had to do something. As his attorney, I took action to help right the wrongs done to my client.
At my law firm — Theresa I. Wigginton, P.A. — this has since become my goal in every consumer fraud case I accept. While I handle many cases, I believe that each case is the most important case.
